Social responsibility

At The O2 our job doesn’t stop when the curtain falls and the band leaves the stage. Last year we had over 9 million visitors, 168 event days and put on a staggering 194 performances.

Despite our busy schedule, we remain committed to social responsibility, minimising our impact on the environment and supporting efforts to better our local community. We are participants in the AEG 1Earth programme, our companywide environmental sustainability initiative. We help our charity partner The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raise vital funds for their ground breaking research into this devastating disease and support local charities including Greenwich Starting Blocks and Charlton Athletic Community Trust, sponsoring their youth programme.  

In addition we are proud to support the work of Visit Greenwich and Visit London through London and Partners to attract tourists to our borough and city.

The official charity partner of The O2 is The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and we support the excellent work they do with our ticketing partner AXS.com, allowing fans to donate at every ticket purchase.

We do everything we can to ensure everyone can attend gigs and events at The O2.  We’ve even been given gold charter status by charity Attitude is Everything who aim to improve deaf and disabled people’s access to live music.
