The legendary 10cc, one of the most successful and significant English bands of the ‘70s and ‘80s, and whose influence is still evident in some of today’s successful bands such as The Feeling, announce a very special one-off evening at the 2,400 capacity indigO2 on Thursday 1 May 2008.
Classic tracks the band performs live include the No 1 hits I’m Not In Love, (covered by The Pretenders, Will To Power and the Fun Lovin’ Criminals), Rubber Bullets and Dreadlock Holiday; their Top 10 singles Donna (which reached No 2), Good Morning Judge (5), Art For Art’s Sake (5), Things We Do For Love (6), I’m Mandy Fly Me (6), Life Is A Minstrone (7), Wall Street Shuffle (10), and The Dean & I (10)
The timeless band features Graham Gouldman (vocals, bass, guitar), Rick Fenn (lead guitar, vocals), Paul Burgess (drums, vocals), Mick Wilson (percussion, guitar, vocals) and Mike Stevens (keyboards, guitar, sax, vocals).
Formerly with The Mockingbirds, 10cc front-man Graham Gouldman had his first Top 10 hit at the age of 19 with the haunting For Your Love, recorded by the Yardbirds. Gouldman also wrote hits for The Hollies (Bus Stop, Look Through Any Window) and Herman’s Hermits (No Milk Today), as well as collaborations with Jeff Beck, Wayne Fontana, Paul Carrack, Kirsty Macoll, Suggs from Madness and McFly.
On 28 February, 10cc will be among the special guest performers, along with Beverley Knight, the Brand New Heavies, Al Murray and Bob Harris, for the exclusive Sound and Vision music and art event, held at Abbey Road Studios in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The evening entailed a one off exhibition of stunning imagery donated by the leading photographers combined with live music interludes.
