KEVIN SMITH - A RARE EVENING IN LONDON Award-winning filmmaker, actor and cult figure Kevin Smith will return to London for one of his famous 'An Evening With' performances. This will be only the second time he has performed live in London, following his sold out show at The Criterion Theatre in 2005, which was later released on DVD as part of the best selling 'An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder' This show comes the week after the UK release of the forthcoming book 'Shootin' The Sh*t with Kevin Smith: The Best of Smodcast' (Titan Books £9.99). The long-awaited book is a follow-up to the New York Times bestseller 'My Boring-Ass Life'. This is a rare opportunity for UK fans to get up close with his unique, uncensored brand of storytelling interacting with an audience often as familiar with his unusual life as he is. Smith, best known for writing and directing such feature films as 'Clerk's, 'Dogma' and most recently 'Zack and Miri Make A Porno,' regularly appears live at major venues across the United States and Canada. Smith's colourful and unchecked stage 'performance' entitled An Evening with Kevin Smith, provides an up close and personal look into the irreverent mind of the talented filmmaker and pop culture connoiseur. During his three-hour show Smith engages in an unreserved audience Q&A, a feature of his appearances that has gained cult status among his fans. Kevin Smith, who is currently at work directing his next feature, 'A Couple Of Dicks,' starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, has also written and directed the feature films Mallrats, Clerks II, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jersey Girl. He's also published two books of essays and blog postings (Silent Bob Speaks and the New York Times Best Selling My Boring-Ass Life), written for both of the major comic book giants DC and Marvel Comics, and Batman: Cacophony and the award-winning Green Arrow at DC Comics.
