Coko Bar London presents D'banj and Mohits Allstars - The Kokoconcert
Coko Bar London presents D'banj 'Kokoconcert' on Monday 31st August at indigO2. This event brings the long-awaited D'banj to UK shores.
D'banj, whose real name is Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo, is a singer/songwriter/performer/harmonica player famous for winning numerous awards under his belt such as the Best African Act (MTV Awardws Africa), Best African Act (MTV Europe Music Awards 2007), Single of the Year 'Why Me' (NEA Awards 2007), Artist of the Year (MTV Africa Music Awards 2008), Best Male (MTV Africa Music Awards 2008) and many more.
His third album, The Entertainer, was released in the summer of 2008 and includes hit tracks such as 'Gbono Feli Feli', 'Fall In Love', 'Olorun Maje' and 'Entertainer'. Since its launch in the summer of 2008, The Entertainer has made serious airwaves all over the world; this will be D'banj's first major concert in London.
Produced by Don Jazzy, all of D'banj's albums have a fusion of hip-hop, funk and R'n'B that caters to the most eclectic of tastes. He has various collaborations on the album with Wande Coal, Dr Sid, The Prince, K-Switch and Don Jazzy himself. D'banj has proved himself to be a charismatic, enigmatic and infectious performer and a contender in the African Music Industry. D'banj has performed alongside artists such as Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles, Missy Elliot, Kelly Rowland, Ja Rule, Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder and many more.
