Following the triumphant inaugural year in 2011, Gaucho International Polo is now the ultimate celebration of Argentina’s sporting and cultural heritage.  The 2012 event will consist of two international arena polo matches, starting with Scotland taking on Ireland and culminating in the titanic clash between IG Index’s England and Argentina, pitting Britain’s finest player, Jamie Morrison, against the Royals’ favorite star, Nacho Figueras.

Gaucho International Polo will provide the complete Argentine experience with tastings from some of the country’s finest wine producers, brought to the event by leading authority, Wines of Argentina, and performances by Latin Grammy award winners, Bajofondo, who have put ‘electrotango’ firmly on the world music map.  

Visitors will also have the chance to help a worthwhile cause through ‘The White Jeans Campaign’. White jeans have long been the unofficial uniform of polo players and enthusiasts alike and so for every guest who arrives at the event wearing a pair, a pound will be donated to the BFF (British Forces Foundation).                           

Both fans and newcomers to the sport will be thrilled by the high-octane polo interspersed with live music. 

 

Formed in 2002, Bajofondo have put ‘electrotango’ firmly on the world music map, although their innovative sound stretches far beyond this genre to include; DNB, house, chill out and trip hop. The eight-man group is a collective of composers, singers and artists whose first album, Bajofondo Tango Club, reached triple platinum. Since then they have gone from strength to strength, performing their live Bajofondo Remixed DJ sets at the biggest world and electronic music festivals around the globe.
