Eat Your Own Ears presents

RZA (Wu-Tang Clan) (+ Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip + Killa Kella (full band show)

Pioneering promoters Eat Your Own Ears (EYOE) have collaborated with indigO2 to bring a series of shows from 22 exciting genre defying artists.

Already the EYOE April residency at the indigO2 is causing a stir with the line-up boasting: the prolific British MC Lethal Bizzle; lo tech modern electronic dance act Holy Fuck, Hip-hop legend RZA from the Wu Tang Clan and the first UK performance from elegant pop songwriting disco maestro Kelley Polar.

Eat Your Own Ears promoter Tom Baker said “It’s a diverse and cutting edge line-up, with some of the artists performing in London for the first time. It’s really exciting to get all of these artists to take part in this series at the indigO2."

Eat Your Own Ears is renowned for recognising new and emerging talent before they become household names, founding the careers of artists such as Danger Mouse (aka Gnarls Barkley), Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and Mercury Award winning artists Franz Ferdinand. EYOE have a full grasp on the music industry, covering musical enterprises from across the globe.

Each night will be a mash up of polar musical genres, pushing the boundaries of a conventional night of live music. With two more nights yet to be announced this is sure to be the most innovative week of live music in 2008!

RZA (Wu-Tang Clan) Also known as the Abbott, Prince Rakeem, Rzarector, Bobby Steels and Bobby Digital he was born as Robert Diggs and has gone on to mastermind several multi-platinum-selling records through his solo work and that as the chief producer of the Wu-Tang Clan.

Killa Kella appeared at the MTV European Music Awards in Munich (Oct 2007), performing an exclusive beatbox set alongside Snoop Dogg and broadcast live on MTV across Europe.

Kela is booked to appear at SXSW in March, part of which will be recorded and broadcast by Radio One.

Kela since Jan '08 has had regular spot plays across Radio One (Huw Stephens, Colin Murray, Nihal) + Steve Lamaq on 6Music, also XFM London, Scotland and Manchester, Kiss FM, Choice FM, Galaxy with his "Reveal Your Inner Self" track, which was produced by Does it Offend You Yeah?.

Kela also appears on Does It Offend You Yeah's forthcoming album + also working with Hadouken and on Plan B's 2nd album.

Kela was brought in as a guest judge at the 2006 UK Beatboxing Champs (when Beardy was triumphant) and Kela was also the main judge and did a special showcase at the World Beatbox Champs in both 2006 and 2007.

Kela is booked to do a showcase with his full live band (which he will also perform with at the Eat Your Own Ears Series) at the 2008 UK Beatbox Champs, where he will also judge. Next week he's doing interviews with Front Magazine and FHM to talk about his role in this year's competition.

Finally, Kela is putting out a major new single with the French Producer Alan Braxe (Starlight etc) this May/June - with full video etc. The label are expecting daytime radio and video play....
