Sacred Flame - Postponement

Sacred Flame is currently being rescheduled for a new date at The O2 arena in 2010. Tickets already bought for December 28th 2009 will be valid for the new date otherwise refunds can be obtained from point of purchase.

The producers made the decision to postpone in order to deliver a truly first class show that fulfils the vision of the creative team. The show is a massive technical undertaking - it pushes the boundaries of traditional musical theatre into arena spectacle. Due to the large scale video technology combined with rock and roll scale lighting and pyrotechnics, plus a dance company of more than 60 performers, it was felt that extra pre-production time was needed to fully do the show justice.

The arena musical has been masterminded by Ronan Hardiman, the composer of Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames and Celtic Tiger, Arlene Phillips, responsible for the shows Grease, We Will Rock You and Starlight Express, and Frank Musker, the Ivor Novello winning songwriter who has written hits for artists including Queen, Il Divo, Russell Watson and Hayley Westenra.

The musical is set in modern day South America and is laden with infectious Latin rhythms including the salsa, mamba and tango. The story focuses on the coming of age tale of Anton, a teenage boy journeying to Peru to understand why he came to be given away as a baby by his real mother. He quickly becomes involved in a far greater adventure to discover the legendary riches hidden away centuries before by his true ancestors.
