Event Details
A dazzling array of international stars from the worlds of blues, rock and soul will descend on London in October as BluesFest returns to The O2 for three days of must-see live music on October 28 – 30th.
Highlights this year include two spectacular double-bills featuring blues luminary Walter Trout and UK blues-rock outfit The Temperance Movement, and UK guitar legend Jeff Beck alongside musical visionary Van Morrison. The festival will also present the first London show in six years from Paul Rodgers’ rock supergroup Bad Company featuring special guest US guitarist and Bon Jovi collaborator Richie Sambora and a special one-off Bill Wyman 80th birthday concert featuring Mark Knopfler, Bob Geldof, Imelda May, and Mick Hucknall.
The shows will take place at the 800-capacity Brooklyn Bowl from the likes of JD & The Straight Shot, alongside homegrown talents Jo Harman and Lauren Housley.
Taking place from October 28 – 30, the festival will this year run in association with American Express and will once again utilize all areas of The O2 complex including the 20000-capacity Arena, indigo at The O2 and Brooklyn Bowl to present what is fast becoming one of the most popular blues, soul and roots festivals in the world.
Festival Director Leo Green:
“Last year’s BluesFest, which marked the first time a blues festival had been held at The O2, was a resounding success. This year we’ve looked to build on that success and to deliver a bigger, better event that showcases the captivating diversity of blues, soul and roots music and all the genres it’s had an impact on."
