95.8 Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball is Back

Capital FM was left stunned as tickets to 95.8 Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball with Windows 7, on Saturday 5th December sold out in less than an hour after the first five major artists performing were announced.

London's favourite breakfast duo, Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon unveiled the first five acts set to perform at The O2 arena in London. They are Lady Ga Ga, JLS, Tinchy Stryder, Lily Allen and Noisettes.

However, thousands more Capital FM listeners logged on to www.capitalfm.com and registered as VIP's and pre-purchased tickets. The numbers were so high the station saw a 40 times increase in the number of people registering as a Capital VIP.

The massive demand follows the success of the sell-out event last Christmas and Capital's Summertime Ball in June.

The Jingle Bell Ball with Windows 7 will be the capital's biggest indoor music event of the year and will be hosted by Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon, and the Big Top 40's Rich and Kat.

Windows 7 is the latest operating system from Microsoft, launching on 22 October, which will make your PC easier, simpler and more fun to use.

The Ball is supporting Capital's flagship charity, Help a London Child, with a donation being made from the proceeds of the event.

Global Founder & Group CEO Ashley Tabor said:
"Every year, Capital is building on the last, giving the listeners exactly what they want and bringing some of the biggest names in hit music to London for this year's Jingle Bell Ball with Windows 7. The event sold out in under 10 minutes, which is a massive endorsement from our listeners. Last year's concert at The O2 was hailed as one of the best live music events in the capital for a decade. This year it will be even better, and we are thrilled at the amazing audience response!"

Group Director of Broadcasting at Global Radio, Richard Park said:
"These five acts show what top talent is attracted to Capital's big balls!"
