Italian tenor sensation Andrea Bocelli will grace the stage at The O2 arena on 30thJune for the venue’s inaugural classical concert gala. Bocelli will be joined by legendary soprano, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa with flute virtuosos, Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway. All four artists will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Choral Society for what is sure to be a magical evening.

As one of the best- known and well respected tenors in the world Bocelli has collaborated with a distinguished number of artists from all genres of music, but one of his most famous collaborations still remains the one with English soprano Sarah Brightman on a duet version of Bocelli’s hit single ‘Time to Say Goodbye’, which broke record sales across Europe and worldwide, stayed in the German top ten for nearly six months and still holds the record for the best selling single of all times in the country.

More recently Andrea won two World Music Awards during his US tour and sang for the closing ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics. His performance at the magnificent O2 Arena is sure to be a special one with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Choral Society conducted by the masterful Marcello Rota.
