Comic legend Bill Bailey Finds his voice to help young children

Voices for a Better World are pleased to announce that Comic Genius Bill Bailey will be performing at the 'Long and Winding Road' musical extravaganza at The O2 arena on 1 July 2009.

Bill Bailey, alongside his comic sidekick Kevin Eldon will join 4,500 singers and 500 dancers all aged between 10-14 years old on stage as they perform 34 Beatles songs in unison at The O2 arena.

The children hail from schools all over London and the South East of England, and have chosen to take part in their free time; practicing remotely in lunch breaks or after school. The inaugural event at The O2 will be the first time all children and dancers have come together to perform for such a cause and in such a manner.

Bill Bailey's commented:
"It's fantastic to be involved with Voices for a Better World as it provides children with a great stage to channel their creative energy. More stages for children to perform on. Of course, providing opportunities for children is more important now than it has ever been and through performing arts, we can help improve learning and development for our future generations."

Kevin Dowsett, Artistic Director of The Long and Winding Road said:
"We are delighted to welcome Bill Bailey on board with The Long & Winding Road at The O2 on 1 July. Bill is a fantastic character with a real performing arts pedigree and he will be an inspiration to us all. All our children will really benefit from such an experienced performer and this will help to raise significant money for our charity partners."

The purpose of this magnificent event is to raise substantial funds and awareness for dedicated children's charities Arts by Children and Global Angels - two international organisations that work at a grass-root level to support the needs of children around the world.
