Count Down to World Gymnastics Championships at The O2 Begins

Excitement for the World Gymnastics Championships is hotting up as London looks towards its biggest sporting event this autumn.

This weekend (Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May) fans will be watching the Glasgow Grand Prix and World Cup closely to see the high-flyers who will be making their mark in London this October.

Last October Beth Tweddle, Louis Smith, Daniel Keating and Becky Downie all visited The O2 to get a feel for the arena they will hopefully all be performing in this October. The O2, the world's most popular entertainment destination, will be the ultimate performing space for the British hopefuls. Louis Smith commented on visiting The O2: "I can't wait for a packed out arena in front of thousands of people, knowing they are there supporting you. I can only imagine what it will feel like. Amazing."

The World Gymnastic Championships will be coming to The O2 from 13 to 18 October. This will be the first time the event has ever been held in the capital and a welcome return to the UK after a decade away. Beijing 2008 showed the huge potential and talent of Great Britain's gymnasts and put interest in gymnastics at an all time high.

Tickets for this major event are on sale now. Don't miss out on what will be a great sporting spectacle.
