Girls Aloud - The Tangled Up Arena Tour 2008

Girls Aloud have announced they are to play The O2 as the London date in their ‘Tangled Up Arena Tour 2008’. The girls will play The O2 arena on 17th May 2008.

The tour coincides with the release of ‘Tangled Up’, the new album from Girls Aloud, which was released through Fascination Records this week.

The album, produced by long-standing collaborators Xenomania, sees the girls return with a pack of hits. The album has already been critically acclaimed by the press who have said Girls Aloud have set the benchmark for what a girl group should be. ‘Tangled Up’ includes the hit singles ‘Sexy! No No No…’ and ‘Call The Shots’.

The album is Girls Aloud’s fifth, representing amazing longevity in the fickle world of pop music. Their previous albums were 2003’s debut ‘Sound Of The Underground’, 2004’s ‘What Will The Neighbours Say’, 2005’s ‘Chemistry’ and last year’s best of, ‘The Sound Of Girls Aloud’.

During the course of these albums, Girls Aloud have had a fantastic level of success with their singles. ‘Sexy! No No No…’ was their sixteenth top ten single, a run that has seen them land a place in the Guinness World Records book for the most top ten hits in a row in the UK by a female group.

David Campbell, CEO of AEG Europe, said: “We are extremely excited to have Girls Aloud – the ultimate pop princesses play The O2 next year. Their infectious pop will no doubt have girls and boys flocking to the venue.”
