The O2, the world's most popular music and entertainment venue, today announced that Jeff Wayne's The War Of The Worlds is coming to the iconic venue on Saturday 15 December 2012.

Based on HG Wells' classic science fiction story and one of the most successful stage shows of recent times, Jeff Wayne's musical version of The War of the Worlds, returns to the UK with a new star and another technological leap forward.

On November 18, 2011 'The New Generation' of Jeff Wayne's version of The War of The Worlds will be launched, featuring a new interpretation of the classic recording followed by a major arena tour in 2012.

Internationally acclaimed actor Liam Neeson will be seen in 3D holography as the story's narrator and leading a new cast.

Jeff Wayne's musical version of The War of The Worlds has grown into a true classic, acquiring new generations of devoted followers since its original release. A must see show for all ages, The War of The Worlds: The New Generation - Alive on Stage is a unique double album, and exciting arena show.

The dazzling, ground-breaking, arena production will land at The O2 on Saturday 15 December 2012.
