Tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games are now on sale around the world.

UK residents can apply via the London 2012 ticketing website at any time during the 42 day application period. It is not a first come, first served system and there is no advantage to applying earlier in the process. Ticket prices start at just £20 with special prices available for young people and seniors. Apply for tickets at www.tickets.london2012.com before 11.59pm on 26 April 2011 so you don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Sports fans who are not a resident of the UK or a designated European country will be able to apply via their National Olympic Committee (NOC) or their Authorised Ticket Reseller from 15 March. A full list of Authorised Ticket Resellers is now available on the London 2012 ticketing website.
