It really is a phenomenal achievement. The O2 has made a massive impact on the global concert business." Contributing to The O2's success in 2008 were 14 nights by the Spice Girls, the first 5 nights of the Eagles' world tour, Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Leonard Cohen, Celine Dion, Coldplay, 4 nights of Stevie Wonder, 7 nights of Kylie Minogue , Barry Manilow and the Stereophonics to name but a few. David Campbell, Chief Executive of AEG Europe, owners and operators of The O2 said: "This is quite a remarkable achievement in just over 18 months, but goes to show that a venue that is committed to breaking the mould and delivering world class standards for artists and concert goers will sell tickets like nobody else. We have no intention of slowing down now - roll on 2009!" 2009 will see yet more world-class stars lined up to play The O2, from Tina Turner, The Killers, Beyoncé, Pink, AC/DC, Bob Dylan, 3 nights of Kings of Leon and 8 nights of Britney Spears, plus much more to be announced soon...
