Snow Patrol return to The O2

Snow Patrol are set to return to The O2 as the venue for the London date of their 'Take Back The Cities' 2009 tour. The group's appearance at The O2 on 14 March will be their first since The O2 opened in June 2007.

David Campbell, CEO & President of AEG Europe, owners and operators of The O2, commented: "Snow Patrol were one of the first acts to play The O2 so we are thrilled to welcome them back. I remember lead singer, Gary Lightbody, told the crowd "this venue is great!". I hope he finds it much the same - if not even better!!!"

The tour announcement comes as the band release their brand new album 'A HUNDRED MILLION SUNS' which came out on Monday 27 October 2008.

Having recently undertaken an incredible whistle-stop tour of four cities (Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh and London) in two days to launch the new album, Snow Patrol have sealed their reputation as one of the finest live bands in the country. Snow Patrol are now one of the biggest selling UK bands this decade and 'A Hundred Million Suns' follows up the 2006 Number One, seven times platinum phenomenon 'Eyes Open' which sold an incredible 2.1 million copies in the UK and over 1 million in the USA.

Tickets are priced £32.50 (subject to booking fee) and go on general sale on Friday 7 November at 9am www.theo2.co.uk/event/snow-patrol-return-to-the-o2-20090314.html or by calling 0844 856 0202.
