The O2 Welcomes Celine Dion on her 'Taking Chances' World Tour 2008
|
The O2 is thrilled to announce that Celine Dion will be playing the arena on 6th May 2008. The biggest selling artist of all time is the latest star announcement for London’s newest entertainment destination. The tour follows her record breaking engagement of A NEW DAY... at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas where she has played to nearly 3 million people over five sell-out years. The concert promises to be another visual spectacular where she will perform her biggest hits along with songs from her new album ‘Taking Chances’. David Campbell, Chief Executive of AEG Europe, owners and operators of The O2 said: “Celine really is a world-class star. Selling out Caesars Place for five years is testament to her status as one of the greatest performers of today. Our 2008 arena performances will continue to wow, and Celine Dion’s concert will no doubt be a highlight.” Celine’s new album will be released on 12th November. Beginning in Johannesburg on 14th February, with a concert for Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, this will be her first worldwide tour in 10 years. Tickets go on sale on Friday 16th November at 9am and can be bought from www.theo2.co.uk or by calling 0870 400 0688. |
