Today The O2 announces three world-class acts to grace the arena in 2008; The Backstreet Boys, Rihanna and Shayne Ward.
Following the amazing success of Rihanna’s infectious Number 1 hit single Umbrella and subsequent number one album, the young star has announced just two dates in 2008, one of which will be at The O2 on 7th March. The single was the fastest selling download of the year and won her the Monster Single of the Year at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.
Backstreet Boys are back to celebrate their ten years in music. Selling over 90 million albums 2007 saw the boys release their sixth album, Unbreakable. The O2 show will be the last in their UK tour on 14th May.
Finally Shayne Ward, X Factor winner, will play The O2 on 21st May. Following the success of his latest album, Breathless, he has announced his UK tour. His impressive self titled debut album sold over 2 million copies.
