Technical Information

FOH Sound, Lighting and A/V Position
The sound and lighting position is situated towards the rear of the ground floor level. The booth is 24' x 7' (7.30m x 2.13m) The FOH technical position houses our sound, lighting and A/V operation.

Performance Stage
The stage surface is ¾" redwood ply with a black vinyl cover and therefore there is no facility to drill, screw, nail any items through the stage surface. All gaffer, double sided, hazard tapes are to be removed from the stage surface prior to the end of tenancy. Any damage to the surface will result in a charge being made to the visiting company.

Stage Drapes
Half tab black trevira curtain on a manual tab track located at the upstage edge of the stage. Approx. 1'6" (0.5m) downstage of the dock door.

Black Legs
We have three black trevira legs leg's per side to provide effective black masking to the stage.

Backstage Facilities
The backstage area is located stage right and has direct access to the stage through a coded door. All rooms have been designed with multiple telephone/fax lines, internet connections, power outlets and wireless technology. All dressing rooms include couches, chairs, large vanity mirror. indigO2 can supply towels (£1.00 each) and ice, please make the necessary arrangements before your event.

Storage
We do have limited storage space available at the venue for backline flightcases. Approx 30ft² (12m²). For large productions it might be necessary to store some cases back onto the trucks.

Loading Bay
The loading bay is conveniently located directly behind the stage for easy access. The dock door opens straight on to the stage upstage centre. The door opening is 16' (4.78m) wide x 8'8" (2.68m) high. There is provision to unload/load two 40' trailers parked side by side via ramps (indigO2 supplied) straight onto the stage. There is also a smaller loading door upstage right which could be used to enable cross loading of backline equipment during a multiple band set up event.

Parking
A limited number of complimentary production parking spaces are available at the venue; however, please ensure you speak the venue prior to the event taking place. Car and trucks must be parked as directed by indigO2 or The O2 parking staff. Under no circumstances should vehicles park on any hatch-marked areas. Arrangements for overnight parking for tour vehicles can be accommodated, subject to availability.

Lighting

The lighting system at indigO2 features Vari-Lite VL3000 and VL3500 series fixtures, Martin Atomic 3000 Strobes and Highend Systems Whole Hog IPC Consoles. The intelligent lighting system include of 15 VL3500 Wash fixtures, 26 VL3000 Spot fixtures, 18 Martin Atomic 3000 strobes. Generic lighting includes Source 4 Pars and Profiles.

All of these lighting fixtures are controlled by a Whole Hog iPC lighting console c/w expansion wing.

Sound

The sound system at indigO2 features high performance JBL Vertec Series flown line arrays left/right/centre-sub and under stage subs. The system has a full compliment of JBL BiAmp monitors and side fills, a complete 50 channel main/monitor/transformer ISO OB split with outboard EFX and processing available at both main and monitor positions. Control is via 2 x Soundcraft Vi6 Digital Soundesks. Completing this package is a full compliment of high performance live/studio quality microphones/DI's/ wireless mics.

Video Systems and Broadcast Network

Broadcast
indigO2 has been designed with the latest technology and fully wired broadcast infrastructure with one outside broadcast position. Inside the venue, there is a total of 9 strategically placed Media Panels (connectors include HD SMPTE and Triax).

The entire site and all the AV facilities in indigO2 have been designed with the most versatile interconnectivity in mind. The video network can be configured to take any audio, video or data signal from any part of indigO2 and broadcast it to another point, any group of points, or the entire site. It is also possible to patch connections into and out of the arena for event relay. Beyond that, HD interconnectivity, via our link with the BT Tower in West London, provides the opportunity for events taking place at indigO2 to be transmitted throughout the world.

Around the interior of indigO2 there are 7 media patch panels will allow interfacing with the wider broadcast network of The O2.

Both the house video system and the network infrastructure are designed to be fully HD compatible. The Sony Anycast HD will accept and transmit HD SDI signals as well as working with VESA standards of computer video. The media patch panels offer connectivity in glass fibre, Triax or SMPTE hybrid as well as traditional coax and XLR for analogue audio and video.
