The O2

The O2 houses a variety of buildings and venues under the tented cover and therefore depending on your choice of entertainment or dining preferences, visitors will need to cover moderate distances from the transport points and car parks to the venue and within it. It is advised that persons requiring mobility assistance make adequate provision.

• Wheelchairs
The O2 does not operate a wheelchair hire service. A limited numbers of wheelchairs are available within The O2 bubble exhibition space for those attending an exhibition, at arena events for point to point assistance or for medical emergencies.

• Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome within all venues within The O2. Water bowls are available on request.

• Toilets
All bars and restaurants in the Entertainment Avenue have toilets which are accessible to wheelchair users; there is also a wheelchair accessible toilet in the toilet block behind the cinema stairs/ escalators. Please see specific venue information for more details of toilet facilities.

Entertainment Avenue

Entertainment Avenue is a street inside The O2 surrounding the arena which is packed with restaurants, bars, clubs.

Access information on individual outlets is provided for each bars and restaurants page. Just click on the icon for details.

Contact details are also provided if you wish to contact any of the bars and restaurants at The O2 directly to discuss your requirements.

 

The O2 arena

• Access to the arena and seating areas
The nearest entrance for The O2 arena is approximately 100m from the main entrance of The O2. This is Entrance B, Entrance H can be reached by turning right after the main entrance and following the signs through Entertainment Avenue. Customers with tickets for access seating areas will be allowed to enter at any arena entrance, for those with mobility issues it is advised that they use Entrance B.

The main concourse and Entertainment Avenue are level step free surfaces for ease of access to pedestrians and wheelchairs.

Should you be unable to queue please contact a member of staff who will arrange for priority entry once the doors open. All entrances are manned by trained stewards and accredited security personnel.

Within the arena there are easily accessible lifts to each level.

• Accessible seating areas
We have wheelchair accessible seating areas on level 1 and floor level of the arena. This consists of an open bay with temporary seating available for wheelchair users' companions.

Level 1 platforms are raised above the fixed seating areas so that, when audience members stand up, customers on the platform may remain seated and still have a clear view of the stage.

Each wheelchair platform has a dedicated steward to provide assistance where required.

Ambulant seating is available on each level for customers who are able to walk and vacate a seat in the case of an emergency. Our ambulant seating is within the main seating blocks in areas which are easily accessible. Ambulant seating available includes: seats situated on the aisle, seats with few or no steps to them, seats on the back row, seats with no seats directly in front (not necessarily the front row to the stage), seats closest to arena facilities.

Certain ambulant seats have adjustable arm rests to provide easier access and more comfortable seating if required. Folding chairs without arms are also available on our wheelchair bays.

Visitors are advised to book though the disabled access booking line where they will be allocated the best seats available for their requirements.

Please note other audience members may stand up during an event.

• Wheelchairs
Should you require assistance at arena events, please contact the information desks within the arena or ring 020 8463 2211 from doors opening time (stated on ticket). This is for point to point assistance at arena events only.

If you have ticket for an ambulant seating area and you have your own wheelchair, your wheelchair can be left with customer services at the information desks on either Level 1 or Level 4 until the end of the event or a designated point within the event.

• Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome within The O2 arena. Assistance dogs may be taken onto access platforms, however, if you are seated within an ambulant seating area please contact a Customer Services Representative at the nearest information desk on either level 1 or 4 who will be happy to look after your dog for the duration of the event or a designated time during the event. Water bowls are available on request.

• Toilets
Accessible toilet facilities are available on all levels and are unisex. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located near our wheelchair accessible seating areas. Electric hoists are available on Level 1 in the disabled toilets next to the ladies toilets at blocks 106 and 107. Changing tables are available on request at the Information Desk desk on Level 1.

• Cloakrooms
The O2 arena does not provide cloakroom facilities. Wheelchairs can be left at the customer services information desks on Level 1 or Level 4.

• Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive Listening Devices are available for hearing-disabled visitors to The O2 arena. This device is an auditory enhancement system providing coverage of the seating bowl to both those with and without a hearing aid. The Assistive Listening Devices work with Hearing Aids with T-position settings, and with digital Hearing Aids. Alternatively, there are earphones available for those without Hearing Aids.

Please visit our information desks on Level 1 or Level 4 of the arena and request an assistive listening device. Guests will be required to leave valid identification such as a driver's license as collateral. This is a complimentary service.

• First Aid/Medical Assistance
Qualified medical staff and facilities are available at every event. • Use of Electrical Equipment
Power supply is available on selected access platforms. • Special effects
Some events at The O2 arena involve pyrotechnics, strobe lighting and other special effects. Complimentary ear plugs are available at the Information desks on Level 1 or Level 4 of the arena. A limited number of ear defenders in adult and child sizes are also available to borrow during events.

• Food and drink inside The O2 arena
The arena has a wide variety of food and drink outlets within the concession stands on Level 1 and Level 4 , and within The VIP lounge at ground level. For a full list and description please see our page Bars & Restaurants inside The O2 arena.

Please note that limited seating (high tables) is available at the food and drink outlets on level 1 and 4. Food and drink purchased at these outlets may also be taken to the seats inside the auditorium.

indigO2

indidgO2 is a 2,350 capacity live music venue, designed in a theatre-style configuration. There is seating on the balcony and the floor can be all standing, part seated or completely seated depending on the event.

• Access to indigO2
indidgO2 is approximately 30m from the main entrance to The O2. The main concourse is a step free smooth surface for ease of access.

• Accessible seating areas
Accessible seating is provided on every floor.

• Toilets
Wheelchair accessible toilet facilities are available on every floor.

• Cloakrooms
Cloakrooms are available on every floor.

The O2 bubble is The O2's exhibition centre, currently hosting:

The British Music Experience
The British Music Experience is a unique, permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of popular music in Britain.

• Access to the exhibition centre
The O2 bubble exhibition centre is approximately 350m from the main entrance to The O2. The route is step free and features several benches along the way.

If you are unable to queue please contact a member of staff who will arrange for priority entry. All entrances are manned by trained Front of House Assistants.

Within The O2 bubble there are staffed accessible lifts to each level. There are also benches within each exhibition area to offer rest points.

• Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available on a first come first served basis for usage within the exhibition. Please contact the venue Front of House staff on arrival. Guests will be required to leave valid identification such as a driver's license as collateral. This is a complimentary service.

• Toilets
Wheelchair accessible toilet facilities are available at ground level and are unisex.

• Cloakrooms
There is a limited cloakroom facility available in The O2 bubble at the cost of £1 per item.

The British Music Experience

The British Music Experience is a unique, permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of popular music in Britain. Using state of the art effects we show how rock, pop, dance and many other genres were formed and have influenced the last sixty years of British culture. As well as celebrating the era defining sounds created in this country, we also pay homage to international artists who have found their inspiration or audience within the UK.

The British Music Experience has been designed to cater for visitors of all ages and abilities. With interactive hands-on exhibits, audio-visual interpretation and additional support material, we provide a full and enriching experience for all of our visitors.

Audio Visual elements

  • The rich mix of audiovisual content in the exhibition is enhanced with voice over, subtitles and provision for portable hearing loops.
  • Portable hearing loops are available on request from the exhibition retail area.
  • Most interactives have headphones as well as extra jack points for your own headphones.
  • Braille Experience Guides and 'text to speak' tickets are available on request from the exhibition retail area.

Special Educational Needs
The Jam studio - our state of the art education space and the pre-show area are equipped with room induction loops.

Special Events

London Piazza and Peninsula Square are used for special events.

London Piazza, inside The O2, is approximately 300m from the main entrance. It can be reached by entering The O2 and walking down Entertainment Avenue. Peninsula Square is outside the main entrance of The O2.
