This summer London will welcome some of the leading names in Latin music, as stars hailing from Dominican Republic, Colombia and Spain take over The O2, for a celebratory day of music, dancing and street food. Grammy award winners Juan Luis Guerra and Juanes join forces to launch the very first Hola! London Festival on Saturday 22nd July 2017, along with David Bisbal and Sebastián Yatra.
The fun starts from midday with a free programme of events outside The O2, presenting some of London’s best Latin music and dance groups; featuring Mariachi Fiesta, Rene Alvarez & Cuban Combination, DJ Johnny G and Mestizo Mexican Folklore Group, who describe their traditional dance show as a visual explosion of music and colour. There will also be authentic Latin American food stalls from Comida Fest, including Ceviche Creativo, Guasacaca, Smokoloko, Brazilian Flavour, Tayrona Colombian Street food and more.
Plus a special screening free to all ticket holders of Mis Planes Son Amarte by Juanes, the first "visual album" by a Latin artist.
Made with the Puerto Rican director Kacho Lopez and starring Juanes as a love-struck archaeologist caught in a loop of astronaut flashbacks and earthly, emotional commitments, the hour-long live-action film is sleek and narrative staging of Juanes' 12 new songs from his brand new album. Playing at Cineworld at The O2, Screen 5, at 3.30pm.
Tickets are currently on general sale and are available at www.theo2.co.uk or by calling 0844 856 0202.
