Event Details
Raleigh Ritchie has announced a one-off live streamed performance on December 20th, 2020.
Performing live with live orchestration featuring Rosie Danvers and Wired Strings, Raleigh Ritchie, also known as Jacob Anderson will be showcasing his 2020 Album, Andy as well as some fan favourites from over the years.
After not being able to tour his latest album, Raleigh wanted to get his band and crew together for a celebration of the project but also to say thank you to all those who have supported him. Known for his impeccable performances, the critically acclaimed artist has spent much of his time on stage - performing with Stormzy at Glastonbury and headlining his own shows across the UK, Europe and America.
Released in Summer 2020, Andy sees Bristol born and London-hailing Raleigh holding a colossal magnifying glass to himself. Over the production, for the most part, from long-term collaborator Chris Loco but also, the incredibly talented GRADES on “Time In A Tree” and “27 Club”, Raleigh leaves no stone unturned. The album is a creation of heartbreakingly honest songs that seamlessly fuses sweeping soul and mellow R&B with forward-thinking electronica and gutsy orchestral moments. This is a truly powerful record, a long-awaited return that packs a poignant punch. A nickname given to his grandfather that then, miraculously unrelated, became his own too, Jacob Anderson was and is Andy. Now, Andy is making his foray into the world of music. “ANDY is a little wink to myself” explains Jacob. “It’s saying, this is you speaking right now, this is you saying what you have to say”.
Just four days prior to the release, Bristol-hailing musician Raleigh Ritchie premiered new single “Squares” on The Late Late Show with James Cordon - an ode to being your true self, and staying strong in the face of what the world has to offer: “Let’s be squares in a round world”. “Squares” landed in the wake of “Party Fear” - the honest, emotional, raw and self reflective single that speaks on the vulnerability of a fragile mind in a bustling environment. “I missed everything you said, I've been trapped inside my head, wishing I was in my bed.”
This show is not to be missed and promises to conjure a buzzing atmosphere akin to being in the venue.
