Born in Murshidabad, West Bengal, she first became known after winning the TV singing competition Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Her breakthrough came with Devdas (2002), earning her a National Film Award at just 18. Shreya has since sung in more than a dozen languages and won multiple National Awards and Filmfare Awards. Some of her biggest and most beloved hits include ‘Dola Re Dola’ (Devdas), ‘Teri Meri’ (Bodyguard), ‘Deewani Mastani’ (Bajirao Mastani), ‘Sun Raha Hai (Female)’ (Aashiqui 2), ‘Nagada Sang Dhol’ (Ram-Leela), ‘Agar Tum Mil Jao’, ‘Manwa Laage’, ‘Samjhawan’ and “Saibo”.
