Upcoming strikes

Please be advised that National Rail and London Underground staff are planning to strike from 00:01 on Tuesday 21st June for 24 hours. If the strike action does go ahead, we expect there to be very limited national rail and London Underground services and there will be no Jubilee line services running from North Greenwich tube station.

You are advised to expect the following on strike days:

  • Most TfL and national rail services will not be running or will be severely disrupted London Overground services will run a reduced service 07:30-18:30
  • Elizabeth line will run a reduced service all day
  • London Trams will be running a reduced service
  • Other services, including Buses and DLR, will be running but are likely to be extremely busy with queues to board.
  • Customers using DLR services from stations also served by LU are advised to check before they travel due to possible station closures

As a result, roads are likely to be extremely busy. Please ensure you allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative travel routes (see below).

Affected show times

Queen + Adam Lambert - 21st June

We advise arriving at The O2 with plenty of time to spare. Fans should be in their seats by 7:45pm, we advise allowing at least an hour to get through security. The show is likely to finish at 10:00pm. Please plan accordingly.

 

Travel & Accommodation 

Hotels

Have you considered staying in a hotel nearby? We expect services to be running from mid to late morning on London Underground and the National Rail networks on Wednesday 22nd June.

 

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers

Take to the river and travel to The O2 by boat with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers. Services run every 20 minutes throughout the day from early in the morning until midnight. The last timetabled service from North Greenwich Pier to central London departs at 21:51. Check their timetable to plan your journey .

If you’re aiming to get to Central London for onwards travel after the show this is the best route, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers will be running special post-show sailings departing 15 minutes after showdown. It is advised that you pre-book your ticket on their post-show sailings by clicking here.

The post-show express will take you directly to London Bridge, London Eye (Waterloo) and Battersea Power Station piers. The post-show request service calls at any requested RB1 piers between North Greenwich and London Eye (Waterloo piers.

Free shuttle boat services will be running to Greenwich DLR after the show.

 

Emirates Air Line

The Emirates Air Line will be open on Tuesday until 00:00 (weather permitting) to allow those attending The O2 to connect to Royal Victoria DLR station on the other side of the river.

 

By bus

Bus services should be running from North Greenwich station but will be very busy. They will connect with Greenwich DLR as well as Stratford and Charlton. Bus services that operate out of North Greenwich: 108, 129, 132, 161, 188, 422, 472 or 486.

 

Driving

Our car parks are going to be extremely busy, if you haven’t already pre-booked on-site parking we strongly advise you make alternative arrangements. Please listen to our car park stewards and understand traffic is likely to move quite slowly.

 

Private hire / Taxi service

Expect taxi services to be very busy. All taxis are wheelchair accessible and accept credit cards. North Greenwich station taxi rank is on your left as you exit the station towards The O2 and operates 24 hours a day, every day.

The private hire drop-off and pick-up point is next to Car Park 3 on event nights.

 

Do you live locally?

Have you thought about walking to The O2? There’s a huge range of walking routes to The O2. We recommend taking a stroll along the Thames Path to connect with the Greenwich DLR and bus services.

 

Getting here by bicycle

The O2 is on lots of cycle routes. We’ve got 500 cycle racks in Car Parks 2, 3 and 4 and by North Greenwich station.

Please be aware that bicycles are not permitted to travel through the Blackwall Tunnel. Please plan an alternative route if you’re cycling from the north of the river. Bicycles are permitted on the Emirates Air Line cable car.

We will have additional staff on site after the show to help advise fans making their way home.
