'The Club is Alive', as JLS joins The O2's coveted 21 Club

The O2, the world’s most popular live entertainment arena, came alive with the sound of music over the weekend, as JLS returned to the venue for two incredible headline shows as part of their ‘The Club Is Alive: 2025 Hits Tour’. These headline performances, taking place on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 November, marked an impressive milestone for the pop sensations, who were formed 17 years ago by Oritsé  Williams. They have now surpassed 21 shows at the world-famous arena, and have been inducted into The O2’s exclusive 21 Club.

JLS, consisting of Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill, are only the 10th artist or performer to be presented with a bespoke ‘key to the venue’. In addition to each band member being presented with a key of their own, a replica key has also been placed on permanent display backstage at The O2 for future performers to see on their walk to stage.

JLS said: “Truly an honour to join The O2’s 21 Club celebrating 21 sold out shows at London’s most iconic arena. We’re the 10th artist ever to achieve this and are feeling beyond blessed to be a part of it. Cannot thank you all enough for the support throughout the years.”

Emma Bownes, Senior Vice President of Venue Programming, AEG Europe added: “We’re thrilled to welcome JLS into our 21 Club and couldn’t think of a better tour to do this with than one which features all of their much-loved hits. From the stellar setlist to the spectacular visuals, the show was a pop masterclass and a truly special night as we marked this special milestone. Thank you to JLS for filling our arena with pop bangers time and time again – long may it continue!”

The 21 Club honours artists and performers who have played 21 or more dates at the venue, and was launched following Prince’s record-breaking 21 consecutive, sold-out shows at The O2 in 2007.

JLS join an impressive roster of existing 21 Club members at The O2, including Michael Bublé, Take That, One Direction, Drake, Young Voices, Micky Flanagan, Michael McIntyre, and Kylie, who was recently inducted in May 2025 following her ‘Tension Tour’.

JLS were awarded the 21 Club key from The O2 on the final night of their two-show run at the venue, which coincided with the final night of their UK tour.
